Larson Earns All-Tournament Honors

UNO catcher #Lauren Larson# was named to the 2011 Best Western Spring Fling All-Tournament team this week, following her standout performance at the tournament in Denton, Texas last weekend.
Larson led the Mavericks with a .417 batting average, going 5-for-12 at the plate in four games. She had a team-high .667 slugging percentage, while hitting three doubles and recording two RBI.
UNO went 1-3 at the tournament to drop to 10-4 overall and to No. 22 in the latest NFCA Top 25 poll. This weekend, the Mavs head to Emporia, Kan., for four games against non-conference foes.
On Friday, UNO battles Northeastern State in a doubleheader at the Trusler Sports Complex at 2 p.m. On Saturday, the Mavericks face Missouri-St. Louis in a doubleheader, beginning at Noon.
