WICHITA FALLS, Texas - #Dani Suponchick# fired a final round 75 to lead the UNO golf team to a sixth-place finish at the Midwestern State Invitational on Tuesday at The Champions Course at Weeks Park. The Mavericks began the day tied for sixth in their first tournament of the spring season.
The Mavericks finished with a team score of 634. Northeastern State won the tournament with a two-day score of 617, good for a one-stroke win over St. Edward's at 618. Central Oklahoma was third at 621.
Suponchick, who shot 80 in round one, finished the tournament with a score of 155 to tie for 10th overall. #Ricca Soper# was second for the Mavs and tied for 18th with a score of 158. She had 77 in the second round.
#Rebecca Pollock#, who had UNO's top score on Monday with a 77, finished at 159 after closing with an 82 on Tuesday. #Amy Powell# was fourth for UNO at 166, and #Armana Christianson# finished at 167.
UNO returns to action on Monday, March 28th at the Lady Otter Invitational hosted by California State Monterey Bay.
