Final Results
EMPORIA, Kan. – The UNO track and field team returned to action on Saturday at the Emporia State Relays. The Mavericks competed with just 10 athletes in their second meet of the outdoor season.
Jody-Ann Coore set a wind-aided personal best in the 100 meter hurdles, posting a time of 14.63. She finished fourth overall in the event, matching that time with a wind-legal performance in the finals.
Madison Haugland turned in the top performance in the field events, throwing 147-6 in the hammer throw, good for ninth overall.
In the other throws, Lianne McNaughton was 13th in the shot put with a mark of 39-5 ¾. Teammate Elizabeth Thompson was 19th overall with a throw of 37-6 ½.
In the discus, Thompson was 20th with a throw of 103-10.
On the track, Celeste Robinson was 17th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.59.
The Mavericks head to Concordia College next weekend for the Concordia Invitational on Saturday, April 16.
