
Mavericks Earn Marketing Awards For Video Work

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Nebraska Omaha marketing department picked up three awards including a gold from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators. The awards, all for videos, were for promotion of the UNO hockey team.
The gold award was for Video Board Segment for the "Mavs at the Movies" feature presented by Aksarben Cinema. The clips had UNO players re-enacting scenes from famous movies, and they quickly became a fan favorite. Watch more at OmahasTeam.com.
The silver award was for Video Promotion for UNO's 2010-11 hockey tunnel walk video that plays before the Mavs are introduced at each game.
The bronze award was for Single Day Attendance Promotion for UNO's video promoting the "Sell Out Wisconsin" night. The Mavericks drew a school-record 15,137 fans for their game against the Badgers on Feb. 11, a 4-1 win.
The videos were created and produced by UNO's Director of Athletic Sponsorships and Marketing, Matt Hansen, and UNO Athletics Videographer/Producer Dan Warnke.
