Hohl Honored in Alaska Baseball League

OMAHA, Neb. – UNO baseball player Brady Hohl was named to the Alaska Baseball League's All-ABL All-Star team for his performance with the Anchorage Glacier Pilots this summer, the league announced.
Hohl led the way with a .302 batting average with a team-leading 26 RBI for the season, along with 20 runs scored, seven doubles and a pair of home runs. He topped the Glacier Pilots in multiple statistical categories: batting average, RBI, hits (45), total bases (58), walks (25) and stolen bases (17). Hohl was the third-ranked hitter in the league during ABL play.
In a vote of his teammates, Hohl earned the Bernie Kosinski MVP Award, named for one of the club's most storied alumni. In addition, Hohl was selected for the Glacier Pilots' Jack O'Toole Most Inspirational Award, given to the player who exemplifies the following criteria: exhibits knowledge of the game, fun-loving, a passionate leader and goes the extra mile on and off the field.
Anchorage completed the season with a record of 23-24-1 (17-19 ABL) and placed third in the ABL.
Hohl, who is an all-region selection for UNO and a two-time All-MIAA honoree, will lead the Mavericks as a senior in 2012.
