Frauendorfer Named College Sports Madness Independ

UNO guard Paige Frauendorfer was named College Sports Madness Independent Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday for the week of January 23-29.
Frauendorfer scored 16 points and had eight rebounds while playing all 40 minutes of the Mavs' 60-52 win at Texas-Arlington on Tuesday, Jan. 24. The Humphrey, Neb., native shot 7-of-14 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range. She also chipped in two assists and two steals in the win.
For the season, Frauendorfer leads UNO with 13.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She has recorded a team-high eight double-doubles this year and has set career highs in both points (24) and rebounds (15).
Frauendorfer is the second Maverick to be honored this season. Jamie Nash earned the award on Dec. 26, following the Mavs' other win over a Division I team this year (65-58 over Western Illinois on Dec. 20).
