BOONVILLE, Ind. - The Omaha women's golf team finished the fall season with an 11th-place finish at the Braun Intercollegiate at Evansville on Tuesday.
The Mavericks posted a score of 321 in the final round, a 24 stroke improvement over round one. That put them at 666 for 36 holes, last among the field of 11 teams.
Elizabeth Havekost finished first for the Mavericks and tied for 19th overall with a score of 161 after shooting 81 on Tuesday. Katie Kesti and Brooke Thilges tied for second for UNO and tied for 47th overall with twin 36-hole scores of 169. Thilges carded an 81 in round two while Kesti closed with an 82.
Sophie Peters rebounded from a round of 94 on Monday, closing with a team-best on 77 on Tuesday to finish at 171, good for a tie for 53rd overall. Britany Seda shot 92 in the second round to finish at 182, putting her 66th overall.
The Mavericks will resume play in March.
