Frauendorfer Named Summit League Player of the Wee

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha senior guard Paige Frauendorfer was named Summit League Player of the Week on Monday for her performance during the week of Nov. 12-18.
Frauendorfer led the Mavericks to three home wins last week for the Mavs' first 3-0 start since 2007-08. She averaged 16.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, and she shot 60.0 percent (21-of-35) from the floor over the three games. Frauendorfer is the first UNO women's basketball player to receive the honor.
The Humphrey, Neb., native recorded 15 points and eight rebounds in a 58-44 season-opening win over North Carolina A&T last Monday for the Mavericks' first win over a Division I opponent at home since their transition. Frauendorfer then put in 18 points and six rebounds along with five assists and three steals in a 79-67 win over Louisiana on Friday, and she picked up her first double-double of the season in a 79-75 double-overtime win over Northern Arizona on Sunday, pouring in 17 points and collecting 13 rebounds. Frauendorfer played all 50 minutes in the victory and only committed one turnover.
UNO (3-0) remains the lone undefeated team in The Summit League. Also nominated for the award were: Haley Seibert, Fort Wayne; DeAirra Goss, IUPUI; Dani DeGagne, North Dakota State; Olivia Nash, Oakland; Alexis Yackley, South Dakota; Ashley Eide, South Dakota State; Charnelle Reed, Western Illinois.
