Mavericks Move Up in One Weekly Poll

USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll
OMAHA, Neb. - Fresh off their third consecutive series sweep, the UNO Mavericks moved up in one weekly college hockey poll while they held steady in another.
The Mavericks are ranked 13th in latest poll from the website USCHO.com, up two spots from last week. They remain in 14th in the latest poll from USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine. The Mavs have been in USCHO.com's top 20 ranking for three straight weeks while this is their second straight week in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll which ranks the top 15 teams.
Boston College remains the near-unanimous No. 1 pick, earning all but one first-place vote in each poll. New Hampshire, Minnesota, Miami and Denver round out the top five in both polls. New Hampshire, which posted a come-from-behind win at Denver last Saturday, received the other first-place vote in both polls.
Five WCHA teams, including Minnesota, Denver and Omaha, are ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. The others are North Dakota (8) and St. Cloud State (15). Those teams plus Colorado College are ranked in the USCHO.com poll.
UNO has now won six straight games, the second-longest winning streak in school history. The Mavs are 8-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the WCHA, good for fourth place.
The Mavericks return to action on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, when they visit No. 3 Minnesota. Both games begin at 7:07 p.m. from Minnesota's Mariucci Arena.
