The Omaha women's basketball team returns to the Sapp Fieldhouse for the seventh straight game on Tuesday as the Mavs host Tulsa at 7 p.m. UNO is coming off its biggest win over a Division I opponent since its transition after putting the hurt on UT Arlington, 73-39, last Friday. The Teams
Omaha is 5-1 on the season, its best start since 2007-08. The Mavericks are the top shooting team in The Summit League at 43.6 percent and are second from 3-point range at 37.0 percent. On the defensive end, UNO leads the conference in field goal percentage allowed (33.9 percent) and scoring defense (52.2 ppg).
Tulsa enters with a 1-5 record but has been more competitive than its record indicates. The Golden Hurricane lost by seven to Illinois and lost in overtime to Arkansas. Tulsa also lost by one to Loyola Marymount and picked up its first win of the season its last time out, 80-53, over Utah Valley on Nov. 29.
Series History
Tulsa leads the all-time series, 1-0, after picking up a 68-60 win last year on Dec. 28 in Tulsa. Jamie Nash had 12 points, 10 assists and seven steals in the loss. The Mavericks trailed by as many as 16 in the second half but rallied to within six in the closing seconds. The Mavs shot 36.7 percent from the field on 22-of-60 shooting, including 10-of-18 (55.6 percent) from 3-point range. Tulsa hit 42.1 percent from the field (24-of-57), but held a huge advantage at the free throw line. The Golden Hurricane hit 17-of-23 from the stripe, while UNO got to the line just nine times, connecting on six.

OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavs jumped all over UT Arlington early and raced to a 73-39 win on Friday night at the Sapp Fieldhouse. Carolyn Blair-Mobley scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and Ericka House matched her career high with 17 points and nine rebounds, as the Mavs (5-1) built a 38-9 lead toward the end of the first half and cruised to victory. UNO limited UT Arlington to just 23.0 percent (14-of-61) from the field, a season-best defensive effort. The Mavs entered the game as the top shooting team in The Summit League and did nothing but help themselves with a 44.6-percent effort from the floor on 25-of-56 shooting.

Scouting Tulsa
• Taleya Mayberry is averaging 23.3 ppg and has led Tulsa in scoring in five of six games. Mayberry has hit 44.0 percent from the floor and is 11-of-27 (40.7 percent) from 3-point range. She is nearly automatic at the free throw line, having hit 41 of 47 (87.2 percent) so far this season. Despite scoring more than one-third of Tulsa's points, Mayberry also leads the team in assists per game with 3.3.
• Tiffani Couisnard is a force down low for the Golden Hurricane, averaging 12.3 ppg and 10.3 rpg. She also shoots a team-best 52.0 percent from the field.
