Friday's Baseball Opener Rained Out

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- The UNO baseball team's Friday night season opener at Texas A&M Corpus Christi has been rained out, TAMUCC officials announced earlier this evening.
The Mavericks, entering their first year of Division I play, will now begin the 2012 season with a Saturday doubleheader against the Islanders. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Chapman Field in Corpus Christi, Texas. A determination will be made later in the weekend to play a shortened three-game series or add a second game to Sunday's slate.
