Ramada Inn UNI-Dome Classic Moved to Ames

The Ramada Inn UNI-Dome softball tournament set for this Friday-Sunday in the UNI-Dome has been moved to Ames, Iowa for the weekend. The tournament was canceled earlier Thursday because of mechanical problems at the UNI-Dome, but a plan to move the tournament to Ames was put in place Thursday evening.
Mt. Mercy and Minnesota State will not be scheduled to play, but the tournament will still include teams from North Dakota, Valparaiso, Nebraska Omaha, Green Bay, Iowa State, Western Illinois, Drake and UNI.
UNO will play Green Bay on Saturday at 8 a.m. and Valparaiso on Saturday at 10 a.m. On Sunday, the Mavericks will play North Dakota at 2 p.m. and Northern Iowa at 6 p.m.
The tournament is not open to the public due to construction on the Iowa State campus.
