Barrow Named Great West Conference Pitcher of the

Nebraska Omaha pitcher Kat Barrow was named Great West Conference Pitcher of the Week for her performance at the Coastal Carolina Invitational over the weekend, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Barrow, a freshman from Kearney, Mo., struck out a career-high nine batters in a complete-game 7-1 win over Saint Peter's on Friday. Barrow scattered seven hits while allowing just one run, which came with one out in the seventh inning.
Barrow has a 2-2 season record and leads UNO with a team-best 2.31 ERA. She is the first Maverick to be honored by the conference this season.
