Former Oklahoma State Guard Blair-Mobley Joins Mav

OMAHA, Neb. - Former Oklahoma State guard Carolyn Blair-Mobley will join the UNO women's basketball program for her final season of eligibility in 2012-13.
Blair-Mobley, a 5-10 native of St. Paul, Minn., played two seasons at Oklahoma State after one season at Cloud County (Kan.) Community College. Blair-Mobley sat out the 2011-12 season and has one year of eligibility remaining after she earned her bachelor's degree at OSU this past year. She will be eligible to play immediately this season while pursuing her master's degree at UNO.
As a junior for the Cowgirls in 2010-11, Blair-Mobley started 22 of 32 games - fourth-most on the squad - and averaged 2.5 points and 2.6 rebounds while attempting fewer than three shots per game. In her sophomore campaign in 2009-10, her first year in the program, Blair-Mobley played in all 32 games, starting four for the Cowgirls, who finished 24-11 overall and reached the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
At Cloud County, Blair-Mobley averaged 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game to earn Jayhawk West Conference Player and Newcomer of the Year honors. She was also a first-team all-region pick and a third-team NJCAA All-American.
Blair-Mobley also starred at St. Paul Johnson in high school, where she earned all-conference accolades three times and was named the St. Paul City Conference MVP as a junior and senior.
"We're pleased to welcome Carolyn to our team this season," Head Coach Chance Lindley said. "It's not every day you can find a quality player with experience playing in the NCAA Tournament, but that's what Carolyn brings to the table. She didn't get to shoot the ball much at Oklahoma State, but her athleticism and versatility made her a huge part of their team while she was there. We feel like she will fit in well with our team and has a lot of things to offer in her senior season."
