Mavericks Hold Steady at 13 in Polls

USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll
OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO hockey team held on to the 13th spot in both weekly college hockey polls as it heads into a bye week.
The Mavericks are spending the second week in the 13th spot in both the USCHO.com top 20 poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top 15 poll. It's the eighth straight week the Mavs have been ranked in both polls.
Minnesota spends another week at number one in both polls following a 3-0-0 week that included a win over then No. 2 Notre Dame. Boston College is ranked second, and New Hampshire is third in both polls. Notre Dame holds the fourth spot in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll while Quinnipiac is fifth. Those two teams are ranked in reverse order in the USCHO.com poll.
In addition to the Mavericks and Minnesota, North Dakota (6), Denver (7) and Minnesota State (14) are the other teams ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. Those teams occupy the same spots in the USCHO.com poll, and St. Cloud State is also ranked 19th in the USCHO.com poll.
The Mavericks are 13-9-2 overall and 9-5-2 in the WCHA, putting them in a tie with Denver for first place. They are off until Jan. 25 and 26 when they visit Bemidji State.
