Mavs Blow Past Indiana Dabney, 83-39

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Omaha women's basketball team took care of business in its final non-conference game, blowing out Indiana Dabney, 83-39, on Saturday at the JML Abundant Life Community Center.
The game was called with two minutes still to play with the Mavs up by 44. Indiana Dabney had seven players available for the game and had received multiple technical fouls throughout the course of the game, causing the referees to end it early.
The Mavericks improved to 13-5 with their second win in three days in Chicago. UNO also defeated Chicago State on Thursday, 62-47. Indiana Dabney, an exploratory member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, fell to 0-7 on the season. A full box score was not provided by Indiana Dabney.
Paige Frauendorfer led UNO with 16 points and is now just three away from reaching 1,000 career points. Jamie Nash had 12 points, and Ericka House and Carly Cator each had nine. Cator's nine were a career high.
Freshman Kate Bayes and sophomore Myhiah Dotzler also both set career highs, each with seven points. Carolyn Blair-Mobley also scored seven points. Taijhe Kelly had six, and Casse Vaughn and Stacia Gebers each had five to round out the scoring.
The Mavs bolted out to a 13-0 lead and led 38-20 at halftime before outscoring Indiana Dabney 45-19 in the second half.
With non-conference games out of the way, the Mavericks will turn their attention to their final 10 Summit League games. UNO begins that stretch by hosting North Dakota State and South Dakota State next week. The Bison visit the Sapp Fieldhouse on Thursday for a 7 p.m. contest. Then on Saturday, the Jackrabbits visit Omaha for a 2 p.m. game. Of the Mavs' 10 remaining games, six are at home and four are on the road.
