Grinnell, Iowa – The Omaha swimming and diving team sealed its win at the Grinnell Invite on Saturday, finishing with a total of 1,058 team points.
The 200 medley relay team, made up of freshman Natalie Renshaw, sophomore Jenna Foiles and juniors Madeline Hutt and Whitney Korgan, opened the final day of competition by adding 48 points and a first-place finish, clocking a time of 1:49.83.
Sophomore Lexi Bergeron followed the relay with a top finish in the 400 IM (4:38.67). Sophomores Ashley Kneifl and Christen Young tied for first in the 100 fly, posting times of 1:00.28. Young added another top effort in the 1,650 free, posting a mark of 18:26.69.
The Mavericks closed the weekend with a first-place victory from the 400 free relay team. Korgan, Renshaw, freshman Hannah Johnson and Senior Cami Hansberry posted a time of 3:37.84.
Gustavus Adolphus finished behind Omaha in second place with 1,000 points. Luther College took third (759), while Grinnell (576), Macalester College (433), St. Catherine (386), Augustana (374), Nebraska-Kearney (311), Coe College (207), Simpson College (104) and College of Saint Mary (44) rounded out the team standings.
Omaha will compete again on Jan. 25 at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa at 6 p.m.
