The Omaha women's basketball team hits the road this week for a pair of Summit League road games. On Thursday, UNO takes on Fort Wayne at 6 p.m. (CT) at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center. Then on Saturday, the Mavericks travel to Rochester, Mich., to face Oakland at 1 p.m. (CT) at Athletics Center O'rena. Links to live webcasts and statistics will be available at OMavs.com. The Teams
Omaha (14-6, 4-4) finds itself in fourth place in The Summit League standings at the midway point of the conference season. Its 14-6 overall record is the second best among Summit League teams. The Mavs are 1-3 in conference road games so far this season.
Fort Wayne (7-13, 3-5) enters Thursday's game in a four-way tie for fifth place in The Summit League. The Mastodons defeated Oakland, 57-55, last Saturday to snap a three-game losing skid. IPFW is 3-2 in conference home games with both losses within five points.
Oakland (8-12, 2-6) enters Saturday's game in last place in The Summit League standings. The Golden Grizzlies have won just one of their last six games, a 55-46 victory at Kansas City on Jan. 17.
Series History
UNO leads the all-time series with Fort Wayne, 1-0. The Mavericks won the only matchup earlier this season, 60-50, on Jan. 5 at the Sapp Fieldhouse. Paige Frauendorfer had 23 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Omaha also holds a 1-0 edge on Oakland, winning the lone meeting between the teams on Jan. 3 at the Sapp Fieldhouse, 59-41. Carolyn Blair-Mobley led three Mavs in double figures with 19 points and eight rebounds. Frauendorfer had 16 points and 11 boards, and Jamie Nash had 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
Last Time Out
Last Saturday, UNO saw its three-game win streak and five-game home win streak come to an end with a 74-64 loss to Summit League leader South Dakota State. Carolyn Blair-Mobley had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Mavericks. She went a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line to lead the Mavs, who went a season-best 21-of-22 from the stripe in the game and hit all 18 attempts in the second half. Nash had 17 points, and Frauendorfer added 16 points and six boards. The Mavs fell down by as many as 19 in the second half but battled back to within nine with seven minutes left.

The Mavs are back at home next week to host Western Illinois on Feb. 7 and IUPUI on Feb. 9.
