The Mavs were off last week but return to action this week on the road for the final time this season. UNO heads to Summit League leader South Dakota State (20-7, 12-2) for a 7 p.m. contest on Thursday in Brookings, S.D. The Mavs then travel to Fargo, N.D. for a 7 p.m. game at North Dakota State (9-17, 5-9) on Saturday. Links to live stats, a webcast and audio are available for both games on OMavs.com. The Teams
The Mavs are 16-8 overall and 6-6 in The Summit League. With four games to play, UNO is in fifth place in the standings, half a game behind South Dakota and Fort Wayne, both 7-6, for third place.
South Dakota State leads The Summit League with a 12-2 conference record and 20-7 overall record. Both of the Jackrabbits' league losses have come to IUPUI. SDSU is 10-3 at home this season.
North Dakota State is 5-9 in conference play and 9-17 overall. The Bison are 6-6 at home. NDSU has lost three in a row to Fort Wayne, and on the road at Western Illinois and IUPUI.
Series History
UNO holds a 31-29 edge in the all-time series with South Dakota State. Both teams were members of the former North Central Conference. The Jackrabbits beat the Mavs, 74-64, on Jan. 26 at the Sapp Fieldhouse. SDSU took control with a 22-7 run to end the first half and take a 39-24 halftime lead.
North Dakota State leads the all-time series with UNO, 41-10. Both teams were members of the former North Central Conference. The Mavs defeated NDSU, 61-52, on Jan. 24 at the Sapp Fieldhouse. Paige Frauendorfer scored a season-high 25 points and passed 1,000 for her career on that night. Jamie Nash nearly had a triple-double with 11 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds. UNO broke the game open with a 10-3 run to make it 52-39 with 4:16 remaining.
Last Time Out
Kerah Nelson hit the game-winning layup with 0.7 seconds left to give IUPUI a 45-43 win over UNO on Feb. 9 at the Sapp Fieldhouse. The Mavericks had tied the game at 43-43 on a 14-foot jumper by Paige Frauendorfer with 25 seconds left. But Nelson took a pass down low and spun to her left and flipped the winning basket off the glass and in with 0.7 seconds left. Frauendorfer led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. She also had eight rebounds.

The Mavs close the season with a pair of home games next week. UNO hosts South Dakota on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. before hosting Kansas City on Senior Day on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

• Senior guard Jamie Nash has 163 assists this season and is four away from breaking her own school record, which she set with 166 assists last season. Nash adds 10.1 ppg and leads the conference in assists per game (6.8) and steals per game (3.1).
• Junior guard Ericka House has made an immediate impact in her first season at UNO. The junior college transfer has hit 49 3-pointers off the bench, tied for the eighth highest total in UNO history in a single season. House is seven triples away from reaching the top five.

• Sophomore forward Megan Waytashek leads the Jackrabbits in scoring with 14.4 points per game. Waytashek also adds 4.2 rebounds per game and is the top 3-point shooter in the conference at 43.3 percent. Senior guard Ashley Eide averages 13.7 ppg and 4.1 rpg. The Jackrabbits are the top scoring offense in the conference at 66.0 points per game. They are also the top shooting team at 41.7 percent and top 3-point shooting team at 33.5 percent, barely edging the Mavericks in both categories.
Scouting North Dakota State
• Senior guard Katie Birkel leads the Bison with 14.0 points per game and 3.0 assists per game. Fellow senior guard Dani DeGagne adds 13.1 ppg and 2.7 apg. The Bison play at a quick pace on offense, resulting in more shot attempts per game than any other Summit League team (59.6) and fewer turnovers than any other Summit League team (13.5).

Kelly swatted 43 shots as a freshman and she has blocked 55 shots this season, the sixth-highest single-season total in school history, giving her 98 career blocks to rank fourth in school history. Mary Henke Anderson is the school-record holder with 291 career blocks, an average of 72.8 per season. Kelly tied the school single-game record with seven blocked shots against Western Illinois on Feb. 7.
