Frauendorfer Named to Capital One Academic All-Ame

Frauendorfer was one of 15 Division I women's basketball players named to a Capital One Academic All-America team. She is the fourth Maverick women's basketball player all-time to receive academic all-America honors and the first since 1996-97, making her the first honoree in the Division I era.
The senior guard from Humphrey, Neb., leads the Mavericks with 14.4 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. She ranks third in The Summit League in scoring and first in rebounding and surpassed the 1,000-point mark for her career earlier this season. Frauendorfer ranks 18th in school history with 1,104 career points and eighth with 663 career rebounds.
Frauendorfer has been named Summit League Player of the Week three times already this season. She holds a 3.94 GPA majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-pharmacy. Frauendorfer is also a member of the Chancellor's List and Dean's List at UNO.
Frauendorfer and the Mavs take on South Dakota State Thursday night in Brookings, S.D., at 7 p.m.
