UNO begins its final week of the season with a home game on Thursday against South Dakota at 7 p.m. The Mavericks close the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Kansas City on Senior Day. UNO is not eligible to compete in The Summit League Championship until 2015-16, so Saturday's game will mark the end of the 2012-13 season. The Teams
The Mavs are 16-10 overall and 6-8 in The Summit League. UNO is in fifth place in the conference standings. Although the Mavs cannot compete in the conference tournament, they could finish as high as a tie for fourth if they sweep this week and if Fort Wayne loses at Western Illinois and at IUPUI.
South Dakota brings a 14-14 overall record and 9-6 mark in Summit League action into Thursday night's game, its last game of the regular season. The Coyotes are in third place in the conference standings and could end up as the second, third or fourth seed for the conference tournament.
Series History
South Dakota leads the all-time series, 34-33. The Coyotes opened their Summit League slate against UNO back on Dec. 30, claiming a 62-57 win at the DakotaDome. Carolyn Blair-Mobley led the Mavs with 17 points and eight rebounds. Casse Vaughn had 15 points off the bench. The Mavs shot just 35.1 percent (20-of-57) from the floor and hit just eight field goals in the second half. South Dakota shot 46.4 percent (26-of-56) from the floor, the second-best shooting effort against UNO this season. A 21-6 South Dakota run spanning both halves gave the Coyotes control. UNO led 20-18 with 7:01 remaining in the first half, but the Coyotes scored the next seven points and finished the half on a 16-6 run for a 34-26 halftime lead. The Coyotes scored the first five points out of the gate in the second half and took a 39-26 lead with 17:58 left, its largest of the game. UNO battled back to within three, 60-57, with 23.3 seconds left, but ran out of time on its comeback attempt.
Last Time Out
The Mavs were swept on the road last week at South Dakota State and North Dakota State in their final road games of the season. On Thursday, UNO fell to the league-leading Jackrabbits, 69-56. Then on Saturday, the Mavs nearly pulled off a late victory but couldn't close the deal, falling to North Dakota State, 63-62. Paige Frauendorfer averaged 19.5 points per game last week to lead UNO. Taijhe Kelly blocked five shots against SDSU and six shots against NDSU and has now recorded at least five blocked shots in all five games the Mavs have played in February.

• Sophomore center Taijhe Kelly leads The Summit League with 66 blocked shots (2.5 bpg) and ranks 16th nationally in blocks per game. She has 43 blocked shots in conference games only entering the final week, nearly double that of her closest competitor.
• The Mavs rank second in the conference in shooting at 40.6 percent.On the defensive end, the Mavs are second in the conference in field goal percentage allowed (36.4 percent) and are first in scoring defense (55.7 ppg).
• While the Mavs were 15-12 last season in their first year in Division I, their record was only 2-10 against Division I opponents. This year, Omaha is 13-10 against Division I teams.

Mary Henke Anderson is the school-record holder with 291 career blocks, an average of 72.8 per season. Kelly tied the school single-game record with seven blocked shots against Western Illinois on Feb. 7.
