Mavs Host Leap-for-a-Cure with Methodist

OMAHA, Neb. – The University of Nebraska Omaha hockey team is teaming up with corporate partner Methodist and Leap-for-a-Cure to host Brain Cancer Awareness Night on Friday, March 1 when the Mavericks host Wisconsin at 6:37 p.m.
This is the fifth season that UNO has hosted an event to benefit Leap-for-a-Cure night at a hockey game.
Volunteers from Leap-for-a-Cure will be on hand to distribute information, answer questions and auction some great hockey packages to help raise money to purchase a StealthMerge upgrade at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. StealthMerge is powerful software used in image-guided neurosurgery.
Leap-for-a-Cure volunteers will be just outside of the Bud Beer area where $1 beverages and hot dogs will be served in the hour prior to the game.
UNO is offering a special ticket promotion for Methodist employees and their friends and families. Upper bowl tickets are $15 each, and lower bowl tickets are $20 each.
In addition to the discount, $5 from every ticket purchased using the promo code 'LEAP' will be used to diagnose and treat brain cancer at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center.
The Mavericks host Wisconsin both on Friday and Saturday night. Saturday's game begins at 7:07 p.m. and will feature recognition of UNO's three seniors – Bryce Aneloski, John Faulkner and Brent Gwidt.
