Frauendorfer Selected to Academic All-League Team

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha senior guard Paige Frauendorfer was named to the Summit League Academic All-League Team, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The team was voted on by the nine institution's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors. A total of five student-athletes were named to the team and honored for their academic and athletic performances this season.
The award comes as no surprise, as Frauendorfer was named a third-team Capital One Academic All-American in February, becoming the fourth Maverick all-time to receive academic all-America honors and the first since 1996-97. She is the first Maverick women's basketball player to be named to the Summit League Academic All-League Team.
A three-time Summit League Player of the Week this season, Frauendorfer led the Mavericks with 15.0 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game in her senior year, and she was voted to the All-Summit League First Team. She holds a 3.94 GPA majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-pharmacy. Frauendorfer is also a member of the Chancellor's List and Dean's List at UNO.
Other members of the Summit League Academic All-League Team include fellow Capital One Academic All-Americans Ashley Eide (South Dakota State) and Amanda Hyde (Fort Wayne). Eilise O'Connor (Kansas City) and Megan Waytashek (South Dakota State) round out the five-person team.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
