Weather Halts Play for Women's Golf

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Weather prevented the Omaha women's golf team from starting the spring half of its season on Sunday. Snow and cold temperatures postponed the first round of play at the Saluki Invitational at Southern Illinois.
The Mavericks and the other 10 teams in the tournament had played approximately four holes when the weather turned sour. They will resume the round on Monday beginning at 10 a.m., weather permitting. More inclement weather is in the forecast for Monday. The second round will not be made up.
