UNO-North Dakota Canceled

OMAHA, Neb. - The UNO softball team's doubleheader with North Dakota on Monday has been canceled. The real feel temperature did not reach the necessary 32 degrees for the game to be played and parts of the field were still frozen as of Monday afternoon.
The doubleheader was initially set for 1 p.m. but was pushed back an hour three times to try and allow the field to dry and the temperature to warm up. But a decision was made at 1:45 p.m. that the non-conference series would be canceled. North Dakota was already in town after playing at Northern Colorado over the weekend. UND will travel to Vermillion, S.D., to play South Dakota twice tomorrow. The UNO-UND series will not be made up.
The Mavericks will return to action this weekend at Kansas City. UNO plays the Kangaroos on Saturday at 1 and 3 p.m. and on Sunday at Noon.
