Elsasser Makes Academic All-League Team

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha softball pitcher Dana Elsasser was one of 10 student-athletes named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League Team, the conference announced on Wednesday. The list was voted on by the nine institution's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.
Elsasser, a second-team all-league selection and four-time Summit League Pitcher of the Week, is a physical education major with a 3.348 GPA. She finished the season with a league-best 1.61 ERA and was third with 21 wins and a .204 opponent batting average.
To be eligible for the Summit League Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of her team's competitions (20 percent for pitchers). The softball all-league team is made up of the nine student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
