GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Omaha women's golf team is in fourth place following the first two rounds of play at the North Dakota Fall Classic on Monday.
The Mavericks carded a team score of 668 through the first 36 holes at the King's Walk Golf Course. North Dakota State leads the five-team tournament with a score of 622 followed by host North Dakota at 653. South Dakota is in third at 659.
Sophie Peters leads the Mavs and sits 11th overall after shooting rounds of 79-85-164. Sarah Pravecek is second for UNO and in a tie for 14th overall at 167 with rounds of 84 and 83.
Katie Kesti (83-86) and Gentry Carveth (87-82) are tied for third for the Mavs and tied for 16th overall at 169. Makenna Kroeker is fifth for UNO and in a tie for 26th in the tournament at 86-89-175.
Kat Slump, playing as an individual in her first collegiate tournament, shot 93-96-189.
The final round begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
