Stepp, Renshaw Shine In Mavs' Meet at UNK

KEARNEY, Neb. – The Omaha swimming & diving team took on in-state foe Nebraska-Kearney on Friday night in an unscored meet. The Mavericks took six of the seven events on the night, headlined by sophomore Morgan Stepp, who won three of her events.
Stepp took the top spots in the 100 back (1:00.67), 100 breast (1:10.47) and 200 free (1:59.97). Her time in the 100 breast was a season best for any Maverick in the event. Stepp also placed second in the 100 fly and third in the 100 free.
Junior Natalie Renshaw took two events, clocking top times in the 100 free (54.35) and 200 IM (2:17.41). Renshaw finished behind Stepp for second in both the 100 back and 100 breast.
Senior Jenna Foiles took the victory in the 100 fly, posting a time of 59.80. Foiles was runner-up in the 100 free and 200 free, as well as third in the 100 back.
Omaha returns to the pool on Friday, Oct. 31 when it travels to Ames, Iowa, to take on Iowa State and North Dakota. The meet is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. from Beyer Hall Pool.
