Mavericks Move Up in Weekly Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team is ranked 13th in the weekly USA Today/USA Hockey poll and 14th in the poll from USCHO.com.
The Mavericks are ranked the highest they have been since receiving the same rankings in mid-January of 2013, a span of nearly two years.
Omaha debuts in the USA Today/USA Hockey poll this week after receiving votes in each of the last three polls. The Mavericks made their first appearance in the USCHO.com top 20 poll last week, coming in 19th, after receiving votes in each of the previous five weeks.
The Mavericks are coming off their second sweep of the season, beating Ohio State 4-1 and 4-3 in Columbus last weekend. The Mavs finished a six-game road trip with a record of 5-0-1 and are now 6-1-1 overall this season.
Omaha has a week off before returning to action on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21-22 when it hosts No. 13/15 Minnesota Duluth at the CenturyLink Center.
