Mavericks 12th, 13th in Latest Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team remained steady in one poll and fell one spot in the other in the weekly rankings of college hockey teams.
The Mavericks are 12th this week in the latest poll from USCHO.com, down one spot from last week. The Mavs are still 13th in this week's poll from USA Today/USA Hockey. Omaha has now been ranked in both polls for four straight weeks.
This week, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference boasts five ranked teams in the USCHO.com poll including new No. 1, North Dakota. The Mavericks tied UND 2-2 and won the ensuing shootout, 1-0, and then lost 3-2 in a trip to Grand Forks last weekend.
The other NCHC teams ranked in USCHO.com's top 20 include UNO's next opponent, Miami (4), Minnesota Duluth (8) and Denver (10).
North Dakota is also number one in the USA Today/USA Hockey top 15 poll while Miami is fifth, Minnesota Duluth is ninth and Denver is 11th.
The Mavericks and Miami square off on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5-6 at Steve Cady Arena in Oxford, Ohio. Friday's game begins at 6:35 p.m. CT, and Saturday's game starts at 6:05 p.m. CT.
