
Jersey Auction, Toys For Tots at Hockey Saturday

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team's booster organization, the Blue Line Club, is hosting two charitable events at the Mavericks' game against St. Cloud State on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The club will hold a game-worn jersey auction with the money raised to benefit the UNO hockey summer scholarship fund. Money also will go Hockey Coaches Care, the official charitable foundation of the American Hockey Coaches Association which assists members of the amateur hockey community in the United States.
The jerseys being auctioned were worn by the Mavericks during their exhibition game with NAIT on Oct. 6.
The jersey auction will be held near the Bud Bar area of the CenturyLink Center with bidding concluding at the start of the third period. Payment must be made within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the game.
Also on Saturday, the Blue Line Club will partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for the annual Toys For Tots drive. The Marines will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations at the 10th Street and Capital Avenue entrances to the CenturyLink Center.
The Mavericks open an eight-game home stand against St. Cloud State on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12-13. Friday's game begins at 7:37 p.m., and Saturday's game starts at 8:07 p.m. Tickets for all home games may be purchased at the CenturyLink Center box office, the Sapp Fieldhouse box office and at Ticketmaster.com.
