Wintry Weather Alters Opening Weekend Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. -- Due to wintry weather conditions in the Knoxville, Tenn., area, the Omaha baseball team's opening weekend series with Tennessee and Purdue has been moved to Saturday through Monday. No games will be played on Friday, Feb. 14 as was originally scheduled.
Omaha and Purdue will start the weekend with an 11 a.m. (CT) matchup on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Mavericks will face host Tennessee on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. (CT).
UNO will play a doubleheader on Monday, Feb. 17, starting with Purdue at 11 a.m. (CT) and closing with Tennessee at 3 p.m. (CT).
Live video will be available for both Omaha-Tennessee games at no charge to fans.
Omaha finished the 2013 season with an overall record of 27-22 and a mark of 20-6 in conference play. The Mavericks won the regular-season Summit League championship, UNO's first Division I conference crown in any sport.
