Mavs' Weekend With Tennessee, Purdue Cancelled

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha baseball team's opening weekend against Tennessee and Purdue has been cancelled due to heavy snowfall in Knoxville, Tenn., it was announced Thursday.
No plans have been made to reschedule the four-game series. Games were originally set to be played Feb. 14-16, then moved to Feb. 15-17, as was announced Wednesday evening.
Omaha will now open its 2014 season at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. The Mavericks kick off the eight-game trip with Milwaukee on Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. (CT).
