Palensky Selected Summit League Player of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. – Senior infielder Caleb Palensky was named Summit League Player of the Week for his performance March 24-30, the conference office announced Monday.
Palensky collects his first career Player of the Week honor after leading Omaha to a pair of league wins over South Dakota State and a 2-0 start in conference play. In the first game, the Papillion, Neb., native had a double and home run, two RBI and two runs scored. He followed that with a 4-for-4 performance in the second game. For the week, Palensky batted .857 (6-of-7) with three RBI, three runs scored, two doubles and a homer. He added one walk with no strikeouts or errors and recorded a 1.571 slugging percentage and .875 on-base percentage.
Western Illinois starter Aaron Michel was selected as Summit League Pitcher of the Week.
