Mavericks Finish 11th at Sacramento State

ELK GROVE, Calif. – The Omaha men's golf team shot its lowest team score of the tournament in the final round to finish 11th at the Sacramento State Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The Mavericks finished with a team score of 914 after a final round tally of 296. Northern Colorado won the event with a score of 866, followed by Chico State in second at 873 and Loyola Marymount in third with 876.
Both Karl Krieser and Mitch Ryan shot rounds of 71 on Tuesday. For Ryan, the round was a career best.
Krieser led the Mavericks in the tournament with a 54-hole total of 223, good for a tie for 27th overall. Ryan was second for the Mavs and 43rd in the field of 68 with a score of 228.
Alex Overfelt was third for Omaha and tied for 45th overall with a score of 230 that included a final round of 73.
Taylor Sidzyik and Alex Holtan both carded an 81 in the final round. Sidzyik finished at 235, good for a tie for 56th while Holtan shot 237 for the tournament, putting him in a tie for 59th.
The Mavericks are off until March 24-25 when they travel south to the Arkansas-Little Rock First Tee Collegiate Classic.
