Carter Tabbed Summit League Player of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. – Senior guard CJ Carter was named The Summit League's Player of the Week following his performance Jan. 12-18, the conference office announced Monday.
Carter collected his second player of the week accolade of the year and the third of his career after a 45-point performance that stands as the NCAA's second-highest scoring game this season. Against IUPUI, the Omaha Benson product poured in a career-high 45 points on 19-of-25 shooting, including 7-of-8 from three-point range. His point total was the fourth-highest total in a Summit League game and the most by any Summit player since Feb. 2013. Carter finished one point shy of Omaha's school record and set the mark for most field goals while posting the second-highest three-point field goal total in school history.
Earlier in the week, Carter also scored 19 points in 23 minutes against Oral Roberts. He averaged 32.0 points and shot 69.2 percent both from the field and beyond the arc during the two-game stretch.
