Two Omaha Signees Earn McDonald's All-America Nominations

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha women's basketball signees Caroline Hogue and Amber Vidal were named nominees for the 2015 McDonald's All-American game, which takes place at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. on April 1.
The list will be trimmed down from 330 nominees to 24 girls on the McDonald's All-American Games Selection Show on ESPNU on Jan.28 at 5 p.m. (CT).
Hogue is a 6-0 center from Little Rock, Ark. She is a three-time all-conference, two-time all-state performer at Arkansas Baptist High School. As a junior, she averaged a triple double with 16.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 10.6 blocks per game. The future Mav holds the state of Arkansas all-time record for career blocks with 774 going into her senior season.
Vidal is a 5-6 guard from San Antonio, Texas. She is a two-time all-district performer at O'Connor High School in San Antonio, Texas and was also named to the all-region team as a junior. She averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Vidal holds the O'Connor High School record for three-pointers in a single game with seven.
