Mavericks Hold Position In Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team remains No. 1 in the latest poll from USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine and at No. 2 in the USCHO.com poll.
The Mavericks received 483 points in the voting and 16 first-place votes in the USA Today poll to remain ahead of North Dakota. UND continues in the top spot in the USCHO.com poll. The Mavericks earned 941 points and 12 first-place votes in that ranking.
Omaha is off to the best start in program history, winning its first six games. Last weekend, it opened Baxter Arena with a sweep of Air Force, winning 4-2 and 4-1.
UNO is one of six NCHC teams in both polls along with UND, Denver (5/5), Minnesota Duluth (6/6), St. Cloud State (13/14) and Miami (14/15).
The Mavericks begin NCHC play this weekend when they visit Western Michigan for games on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-31.
