
Ten Mavs Earn NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Honors

OMAHA, Neb. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its list of 2014-15 All-America Scholar-Athletes Tuesday and 10 Omaha players from last season were among those honored.
Omaha's 2014-15 honorees include Kat Barrow, Campbell Ditto, Sydney Hames, Allie Mathewson, Carly Nielsen, Lizzie Noble, Bailey Schulenberg, Kylie Schwarting, Tara Trede, and Nicole Warren. All 10 athletes were also named either to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll or Academic All-Summit League lists last season.
A total of 5,493 softball players from across all divisions made the NFCA's 2014-15 list, including 1,554 honorees from Division I. The Summit League sported 35 athletes from four of its member institutions. Omaha's 10 honoree's was the second-highest total among Summit League schools, only trailing IUPUI's 11.
