Mavericks Ranked Sixth Again This Week

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team is spending its third straight week at No. 6 in the college hockey polls.
The Mavericks held their position in both the USCHO.com top-20 poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll following 3-1 and 6-4 wins over Ohio State last weekend at Baxter Arena.
The NCHC continues to have five teams ranked in the USCHO.com poll including four in the top 10. North Dakota has the highest position at No. 4 followed by UNO, St. Cloud State (7) and Denver (9). Minnesota Duluth is tied with Michigan Tech for No. 17.
In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, the teams occupy the same spots with Minnesota Duluth receiving votes but no ranking.
The Mavericks finished November with a 5-0-1 record and are now 11-2-1 overall this season. It's the most wins posted by a UNO team before December in school history.
The Mavericks return to action on Friday and Saturday against St. Cloud State. Friday's game begins at 7:37 p.m., and Saturday's game starts at 7:07 p.m. from the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn.
