Mavericks Come In Sixth In Weekly Hockey Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team is ranked sixth in both weekly college hockey polls.
The Mavericks are down one spot from last week in both polls following an off week. They have been ranked in the top 10 in both the USCHO.com top-20 poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll since the season began.
Omaha is one of five NCHC teams in the USCHO.com poll. North Dakota rose to second this week and St. Cloud State jumped over the Mavericks into fifth place after a sweep at Denver. The Pioneers are 17th in the rankings while Minnesota Duluth is now 19th.
In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, North Dakota ranks third and St. Cloud State is again fifth. After the Mavericks, Denver and Duluth are receiving votes but not ranked.
The Mavericks will be one of two NCHC teams in action this weekend when they host Arizona State on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 19-20.
