Mavericks Come In Fifth In Weekly Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team dropped one spot to fifth in the latest college hockey polls released on Monday.
The Mavericks had been ranked fourth for two consecutive weeks before the drop to five in the polls from USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine. They have now been ranked in the top five in both polls for four straight weeks.
Again this week, Omaha has plenty of company from its NCHC brethren in both polls. North Dakota ranks first in both polls while Minnesota Duluth (7/7), Miami (9/6) and Denver (11/9) also are ranked in the top 15.
The Mavericks play the first of two straight road trips this weekend when they travel to St. Cloud State for games on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20-21.
