Alexander Kicks Off Busy Week For Mavericks

AZUSA, Calif. – Senior Amanda Alexander kicked off a busy week for the Omaha track & field team with the first day of competition in the heptathlon at the Brian Clay Invitational on Wednesday.
Alexander marked season best times of 17.16 in the 100 meter hurdles and 28.62 in the 200 meters. She also had a personal best mark of 5-02 ½ in the high jump, and also put up a throw of 32-09 ½ in the shotput.
Alexander will conclude the heptathlon on Thursday while other Mavericks begin competing in the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State at Norwalk, Calif.
