Taylor Named to Brooks Wallace Award Watch List

OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior infielder Clayton Taylor is one of 47 players across the nation named to the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award Watch List, the College Baseball Hall of Fame has announced.
Taylor, a two-time All-Summit selection, was the only Summit League representative on the watch list. In his junior season, he has started all 38 games and batted .297 with team-best totals of 34 runs scored and 31 RBI. A product of Mount Michael, Taylor also has six doubles, two triples and a team-leading five home runs.
The award, sponsored by Mizuno, recognizes the nation's top shortstop and will be presented during the National College Baseball Hall of Fame's Night of Champions on June 29 in Lubbock, Texas.
