Williamsen Nabs League Pitcher of the Week Award

OMAHA, Neb. -- Senior right-handed pitcher Zach Williamsen was selected as the Summit League's Pitcher of the Week for his performances May 4-10, the conference office announced Monday morning.
Willamsen tallies his third career Pitcher of the Week award and his second this season after tossing a complete game shutout at Western Illinois Saturday. The Omaha native allowed just six hits, all singles, over nine innings of work. He fanned a career-high 10 batters and allowed just one walk in the 4-0 Maverick victory. With the win, Williamsen improved to 7-6 on the year with a 4.12 ERA.
South Dakota State's Matt Johnson joined Williamsen as Summit League Player of the Week.
