OMAHA, Neb. – The Summit League announced its softball All-League performers and individual award winners at its pre-tournament banquet Tuesday evening, and three Omaha players earned all-conference recognition for their on-field performance.
Allie Mathewson and Lizzie Noble both were tabbed first-team performers, while Megan May earned Freshman-of-the-Year honors. The individual awards and all-league teams were based on a vote by the league's head coaches.
Mathewson was UNO's top overall hitter from the leadoff position this season with a .314 batting average. She also led the team with 13 home runs, 40 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, and a .598 slugging percentage. Defensively, Mathewson did not commit an error in 55 chances.
