COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three Omaha hockey games will be part of the 2015-16 NCHC broadcast schedule on CBS Sports Network, the conference announced today.
The Mavericks' home games with Miami on Jan. 22 and Western Michigan on Feb. 12 will air on the network as well as their road game with Colorado College on Jan. 29.
“These three games on CBS Sports Network provide tremendous national exposure for our program,” said Mike Kemp, associate athletic director. “And because we have two home games as part of that schedule, college hockey fans across the country will get an up-close look at the home ice advantage afforded our players at Baxter Arena.”
The three UNO games are part of a 14-game schedule for CBS Sports Network, the premier television partner of the NCHC. The schedule culminates with coverage of the 2016 NCHC Frozen Faceoff in Minneapolis, Minn. on March 18-19, 2016.
“Once again our top-tier television partner, CBS Sports Network, has put together a great schedule of games that will generate excitement among our fans across the entire country,” NCHC Commissioner Josh Fenton said. “We look forward to the debut telecast on New Year's Day and concluding with the Frozen Faceoff Championship in March.”
Other television schedules for the NCHC will be released in the coming days.
