Women's Golf Comes In 15th at Oral Roberts

TULSA, Okla. – The Omaha women's golf team closed the Bob Hurley Shootout, its second tournament of the fall, in 15th place on Tuesday.
The Mavericks finished with a 54-hole team score of 994 at the Meadowbrook Country Club. Sam Houston State won with a score of 907 while South Dakota took second at 909. Stephen F. Austin was third at 914, one stroke ahead of host Oral Roberts.
Megan Vetrovksy was UNO's leading scorer with a total of 239 that included a round of 84 on Tuesday. She finished in a tie for 47th. Katie Kesti was second for the Mavericks and 71st overall with a score of 247 including a card of 85 in the final round.
Jordan York shot 86 in round three and finished at 250, third for UNO and 73rd overall. Mandy Boyle was fourth for the Mavericks and 81st overall at 265, a score that included a closing round of 85.
Morgan Miller finished the scoring for the Mavericks at 267. She shot 89 on Tuesday.
The Mavericks are back on the course at the Chip-N Club Invitational hosted by Nebraska on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 5-6.
