
Women's Golf Sixth at Creighton

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team is in sixth place after the first round of the Creighton Classic on Monday.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 331 over the first 18 holes at Oak Hills Country Club and sit just one stroke behind both Creighton and Bellevue who are tied for fourth. South Dakota leads with a score of 324, two strokes ahead of North Dakota. Drake is third at 328.
Freshman Jordan York led the Mavericks in the first round with a six-over score of 78 which puts her in a tie for fourth. Katie Kesti is second for the Mavs and tied for seventh at 79.
Mandy Boyle and Makenna Kroeker each shot scores of 78 in windy conditions to sit in a tie for 31st while Megan Vetrovsky carded an 88, putting her in a tie for 34th.
Morgan Miller and Alexa Ruwe, playing as individuals, each shot a round of 95.
The final round begins Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
