Mavericks Take Sixth at Creighton

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team completed its fall season with a sixth-place finish at the Creighton Classic on Tuesday.

The Mavericks finished with a 36-hole team score of 653 after shooting 322 in the final round at Oak Hills Country Club. Drake won the event with a score of 633. North Dakota was second at 641, two strokes ahead of Bellevue.

Katie Kesti led the Mavericks in scoring with a total of 160 that included a final round of 81. She was 10th in the field of 50 golfers.

UNO's first-round scoring leader, Jordan York, was second for the Mavs and tied for 13th overall at 162, a score that included a final round of 84. Mandy Boyle had UNO's best round on Tuesday, 79, and finished at 166, good for a tie for 20th.

Makenna Kroeker and Megan Vetrovsky both shot 81 in round two. Kroeker finished at 168, good for a tie for 27th, while Vetrovsky was at 169, putting her in a tie for 29th.

Morgan Miller (84) and Alexa Ruwe (87) both played as individuals. Miller posted a total score of 179, putting her in a tie for 42nd, while Ruwe shot 182, good for 45th place.
